Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 26, 2026 · Last Updated: May 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to SAG-Tek (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your access to our website (sagtek.co.uk) and the purchase of our products, shape adaptive grinding (SAG) tooling, robotic polishing systems, manufacturing suites, and software services.

By browsing our site, requesting a quote, placing an order, or utilizing our process engineering utilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Supply of Products & Tooling

SAG-Tek manufactures precision-engineered components, including robotic polishing end-effectors, SAG tools, and rubber/pad consumables.

  • Custom Specifications: Many items are made-to-order based on your custom hardness (rubber types) and geometry (bonnet, teardrop, disc, cap, drum). You are responsible for verifying configuration compatibility before completing checkout.
  • Acceptance Criteria: Tooling is built to strict engineering specifications. Variations within micro-tolerances standard in structural robotic polishing are not considered defects.

3. Quotations & Pricing

All prices shown on our digital shop are in GBP (£) and exclude VAT and shipping charges unless explicitly stated.

Formal quotes provided by our sales department remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to adjust list pricing on the website at any time without prior notice due to material cost changes.

4. Shipping & Delivery

We ship globally from our production facility in Coalville, Leicestershire, United Kingdom. Lead times represent our best estimates and are subject to component availability.

Standard tooling lead times range from 5 to 7 weeks for custom configurations. Custom tooling or backordered components will be processed according to the lead times quoted at the time of purchase.

5. Intellectual Property

The technologies, methodologies, patents, and software associated with Shape Adaptive Grinding (SAG), robotic path generation, and our CAD/CAM software suites are the exclusive property of SAG-Tek Ltd and its licensors.

You may not copy, reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute our physical tool geometry or software algorithms without executing an explicit, signed licensing agreement with us.

6. Warranty & Liability

We warrant that all newly supplied tooling and robotic systems will match our stated specifications and remain free from manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from delivery.

Consumables (polishing pads, flexible rubber cups) are excluded from this warranty once put into service due to natural wear and variable surface friction.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of the supply of products or services shall not exceed the total price paid by you for the specific order in question. We are not liable for consequential loss or manufacturing downtime.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions, and any disputes arising out of them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings.
